The RiverRise Fishing Guides team, comprised of some of the best guides on the Kenai Peninsula, specializes in Salmon Fishing, particularly the King Salmon found in the Kenai & Kasilof Rivers. The Sockeye Salmon Season begins on June 15th and can extend through the end of August. Fully Guided Sockeye Salmon Fishing Trips are customized to the run timing and size, with trips on both the Kasilof River and Kenai River to maximize success. Two different techniques are utilized when fishing for Sockeye Salmon with RiverRise Fishing Guides. The popular method of “flossing” with a fly rod and fly is one approach, while a conventional method using bobber and jig is used when conditions are appropriate. Half day (4 hours) and full day (8 hours) Guided Trips for Sockeye Salmon are available, with all trips being “all-inclusive” except for licenses and stamps. After the trip, catch can be filleted and prepared for transport to a processor for shipping back home.
