Adventure Details

Join us for an exciting boat adventure on the Deerfield River in Massachusetts, perfect for intermediate paddlers with Class II skills. Our 1-day clinic includes all equipment, instruction, catered lunch, and transportation to and from the paddling sites. The day starts with a warm-up and flatwater roll practice, followed by a river run on the Fife Brook section of the river, with an option to tackle the Zoar Gap rapid. Participants will have the opportunity to work on their rolls and other paddling skills with our experienced instructors throughout the day. The clinic is designed to help each paddler develop their individual needs and gain experience kayaking on New England's best class II summer whitewater run. Dressing warmly is recommended, as the Deerfield River is cool regardless of the air temperature, especially during early or late season months. What to bring: Wear synthetic long underwear, fleece or wool socks, a bathing suit, and a jacket/sweater for cooler weather. Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, nose plugs, and any required medications. Zoar Outdoor provides all necessary equipment, including a boat, wetsuit, paddle jacket, and helmet. A catered picnic-style lunch is included in the clinic. For those with food allergies or special dietary needs, bringing your own lunch is recommended. Using your own equipment is also suggested to get used to its quirks during the clinic. - Skill Level: Intermediate - Prerequisites: Class II Paddling Skills - Duration: 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM TLDR - Join us for a boat adventure on the Deerfield River in Massachusetts for intermediate paddlers - Clinic includes all equipment, instruction, catered lunch, and transportation - Dress warmly, bring necessary items, and consider using your own equipment for the clinic.
