Adventure Details
Participants in the 4-hour boat adventure clinic will have the opportunity to learn and perfect their rolling technique in a controlled pond environment. The clinic is designed for novice to intermediate paddlers, with a minimum age requirement of 14. Participants will spend between three to four hours in their boat, focusing on flexibility and efficient strokes to enhance their comfort and skills on the water. The goal of the clinic is to teach participants how to roll and improve the technique of those who already have experience with rolling. The low student-to-instructor ratio ensures personalized attention and a flexible teaching approach tailored to individual needs. Participants will learn either the C-to-C or modified sweep roll technique in flatwater, with the possibility of moving to real river situations depending on the group's level and preferences. Participants are required to wear secure footwear and are advised to avoid cotton clothing to stay warm and dry during the clinic. Zoar Outdoor provides all necessary paddling gear, including wetsuits, helmets, and paddles. A catered picnic-style lunch is provided on full-day clinics. Participants with food allergies or special dietary needs are encouraged to bring their own lunch in non-glass containers. Overall, the clinic offers a comprehensive learning experience in a safe and supportive environment.
