This boat adventure offers a four-hour charter for $550, with an additional $200 operator fee. Due to US Coast Guard regulations, only six people are allowed on the charter with a licensed captain. If there are more than six people, the boat can be leased, allowing the hiring of an operator to drive. It is important to note that when booking, payment is for the boat only, and a separate fee is required for an approved Master/Skipper and fuel surcharge. The Charterer assumes complete responsibility for the vessel operation in accordance with federal and state maritime law for the duration of the charter. The owner does not provide a Master/Skipper or crew, and the Charterer selects and contracts a Skipper/Crew of their choosing that meets requirements set forth by the owner of the vessel and U.S. Coast Guard regulations. Bare boat charter regulations require the Charterer to contact an independent Captain and pay them directly for the assigned captain's fee, which ranges from $125-$400 depending on the trip selection. When making a reservation, all skipper information must be provided to ensure the skipper meets the requirements for driving the vessel. The Master/Skipper works as an independent contractor on an at-will basis as agreed between the two parties. The owner can recommend a list of Captains for the charter to hire, but cannot stipulate the selection. Gratuity is not included in the captain's fee and captains will be paid upon arrival the day of the trip.
