The Discover Freediving experience is a 3-hour program that provides an introduction to freediving in a controlled water setting with professional supervision. Participants will learn modern freediving techniques, proper breathing, breathhold techniques, introductory free dive disciplines, and buddy procedures. The course also covers safety skills, diaphragm breathing, recovery breathing, and equalization techniques. After completing the Discover Freediving course, students often feel confident enough to progress to open water diving. This program serves as a solid foundation for developing freediving skills and can seamlessly transition into the PADI Freediver Certification at a later date. The cost of the course is $250 per person, and participants must be at least 10 years old, have adequate swimming skills, and be in good physical health. It is recommended to bring diving gear such as a mask, snorkel, fins, wetsuit, and towel. Participants should also bring water (preferably not single-use plastic), sunblock (preferably reef safe), and swimwear. If gear is needed, it can be rented from LFD. The location for the course will be determined by the instructor based on weather and tide conditions. Your payment method will be charged a damage deposit of USD 0.00 24h prior to your rental. Pending any damages, the damage deposit will be returned 48h post rental.
