Experience the best of the Bairrada Region's gastronomy and wine on an 8-hour boat adventure. Visit and taste wines at 3 Bairrada cellars, where you will have the opportunity to sample the region's famous "à Bairrada" roasted piglet. The region is known for producing high-quality wines from traditional grape varieties such as Baga, Touriga Nacional, Bical, Maria Gomes, Arinto, and Cercial. The cool, humid climate and strong maritime influence in the Bairrada region result in grapes with low alcohol content and high acidity, ideal for the production of sparkling wines. In fact, Bairrada holds the title for the best sparkling wine in the 2019 Portugal wine contest. During the tour, you will have the chance to visit a 1920s cellar, walk through old vineyards, learn about making sparkling wine, and enjoy a lunch at a typical restaurant where you can savor the crispy skin of the roasted piglet. Included in the tour are full-day transportation in an air-conditioned vehicle, pickup and drop-off at your hotel in Coimbra, all taxes, fees, and insurance, as well as tickets, bottled water, and lunch.
